Another hurdle passed-UPDATED

Zarqawi is DEAD!

That's got to be my good news of the morning.

I wonder how long until the Left starts in about how this changes nothing, and is actually bad for Iraq? ;)

UPDATE-Want to see how the Left can take a good thing and make us look bad? http://wyllowbelle.livejournal.com/100650.html?mode=reply

You know, I'm beginning to see the reason that there are some journals from people I don't know that I don't hesitate to comment on --and some that I'd rather leave well enough alone. I don't think there are any foolproof ways to tell whether someone has decided to stop listening or whether they're presenting dreams, ideas, stories for discussion--but seeing eye-rolling expressions like that has to be some kind of evidence. This wasn't about hailing someone's death. This was about rejoicing that terrorists get punished. I've wondered what in the world the terrorist mentality is (why they do what they do), and the answers I've received is that there's nothing they "want"--it's just about disrupting something they see to be evil (and the rest of us see to be Society). Thinking that is one thing. Acting on it--there absolutely have to be consequences. And this did. There were consequences, and living standards improved. Turning it into a competition with Canada seemed incredibly foolish to me!
